Flaunting pleasure that can be felt but not seen; The heat, the craving, the mania, and yet, the climax is untethered. But it is the before, it is the after. The touching of fingers, grazing of the thigh, the inviting persuasion, the intimacy, the breathlessness, the vigorous stares, and even the silence shared. The negative space in each illustration also draws us closer to those tricky deeds they are trying to hide, and yet screams the stories they never want us to know.

Kaethe Butcher seizes intriguing urges in her illustrations. With her expressive line art that exudes detail embedded in indulgence, it pursues peering through acts of desire and secrecy, revealing a tasty potion for riddles of sultry mystery.

AN ANSWER

When people look at my artworks I want to give them a reflection of their own emotions, of moments from the past or a wish for the future. I want the viewers to pause for a bit and embrace all these feelings and moments they may have forgotten while living their hectic lives and to find a piece of their own story in one of my lines.
